Life Sources eCommerce Site

A custom eCommerce web site based on the CRE Loaded platform with template creation from base design by Luminosity Studios.

The Brief:

Implement an easy to manage eCommerce store with the functionality for the store owner to add and manage products, orders and informative content.

The Concept:

The base visual design was already created by a third party designer so the concept was predetermined. The front page design, by Coda, expanded on the base template to automatically generate information on recent articles, testimonials, sale items, and newsletter content.

The Solution:

Due to cost constraints it was decided to base the site on the CRE Loaded platform to provide a maximum feature set. The custom front page, which is automatically generated from new content additions, was built to maintain fresh content without the need for constant manual updates by a designer. The site features:

Web based client administration of products, orders, and informative content
Newsletter system to maintain customer retention using email communication
SEO optimization with one click submission of site maps to search engines
Calculated shipping and fully automated payment processing
Interactive Google maps location information
