Xerox New Business of Printing Poster

The Brief:

Xerox New Business of Printing PosterXerox intends to give presentations at an offset printing conference to inform the attendees about the New Business of Printing. The purpose is to show that on smaller print runs, below 30000, it was more financially viable to use digital print technology. The poster has to attract the attention of typically offset customer and inform them of the talks in a very graphically congested environment.

The Concept:

The major stumbling block for offset customers, wishing to switch to digital print, are quality, reliability, and price. The transfer screen and the dot pattern that the printer produces determine the quality. On offset printers this is a rosette pattern which everyone is familiar with. The rosette pattern was tied together with the design and print process to provide the viewer with familiar concepts before they attend the talks and are presented with unfamiliar ideas. The primary CMYK colors added to this and have a strong visual impact when viewed from a distance.

The Solution:

The poster also served as an example of Xerox's large format print technology on which it was printed upon. A storyline of document creation from brief, proofing, print, to the final piece was used to convey that the Xerox solutions are a complete end to end package.
