Pedds Footwear Identity Pedds distributes shoes for the Street / Club-wear market. The target audience is males and females between the ages of 16 and 40 that are interested in footwear that is modern, stylish, fun and comfortable. The footwear consists of sneakers, casual, formal and couture styles with a price range of $30 - $500. Pedds distinguishes itself from other footwear stores by providing unique and daring footwear that is always in touch with the latest styles. The shopping environment is relaxed with helpful staff that treats the customer like a friend rather than a sale.

Most footwear company identities are logotype sometimes accented by a mark. The Pedds logo would have to look appropriate on many different styles of shoe. The concept was to keep the logo simple, memorable and original.

The solution presented itself whilst working on a stylized P letter. The resemblance to a foot became apparent and was finessed to further encourage it. The mark can be used initially as the full text and then reduced to the P by itself.
